Despacha is now integrated with Falabella Directo

Stores selling on Falabella can now deliver those orders with their own team and report every delivery to Falabella from the Despacha app.

On September 9 we completed, with Despacha, the first real end-to-end delivery of a Falabella order: the driver scanned the label, delivered the order and the evidence reached Falabella, who confirmed in writing that they received it. Since that day, the Falabella Directo integration is available.

This is the third post in the series. If you landed here directly, here's what Despacha is and here's our Google Play app.

What it solves

Falabella Directo lets sellers deliver their orders with their own logistics. The catch is that Falabella needs to know what happened with each delivery, with proof: when it left, whether it was delivered, to whom and where. Doing that by hand, order by order, is exactly the kind of work Despacha removes.

How it works

This integration runs the opposite way from the others. With Shopify or Jumpseller, your store's orders come into Despacha. With Falabella, the order already exists on Falabella's side; what travels is the delivery information. Despacha connects as the carrier.

  1. Connect your seller ID. You paste it once in the Despacha dashboard.
  2. The driver scans Falabella's label. Nothing new to print: it uses the QR code Falabella already generates.
  3. The order joins the day's route, alongside your own store's orders.
  4. Every status goes back to Falabella automatically: out for delivery, delivered or not delivered, with two photos (the parcel and the door), the GPS location, and the name and RUT (Chilean ID number) of the person who received it.

If Falabella doesn't respond at that moment, the update is queued and retried automatically. The delivery is already recorded in Despacha, so a problem on the other side never holds up the driver.

How we got here

It didn't work on the first try, and it's worth telling.

  • August 15: we built a first integration through Seller Center. It never produced a real shipment, so we deleted it.
  • August 26 and 27: we rebuilt everything on Falabella Directo's carrier API. We passed eight test runs in Falabella's test environment and validated all four test labels.
  • August 31: Falabella confirmed the details to connect us to production.
  • September 9: first real end-to-end delivery, confirmed by Falabella.

Deleting finished work hurts, but an integration that ships nothing is useless. We'd rather rebuild it right.

What to know before you start

  • Despacha doesn't get you Falabella orders. It's the software you use to deliver the ones Falabella has already assigned you. The commercial relationship with Falabella is yours.
  • Falabella enables sellers one at a time. The integration is ready, but after connecting your seller ID you need to request activation for your account. Write to hola@despacha.app and we'll handle it.
  • They live alongside your other orders. Falabella orders go on the same route and the same dashboard as your store's.

If you're still deciding whether selling on Falabella makes sense for you, we wrote about that in our post on Falabella Marketplace.

What it means for us

Integrating with a retailer the size of Falabella isn't a matter of installing a plugin. There are test environments, validations, label formats and a team on the other side reviewing each step. It's the same kind of work we do when we connect a client's store to their ERP, invoicing or shipping. If your business needs two systems to talk to each other, get in touch.
